The keys have a pretty deep throw and it feels nice. The key input registers with the slightest touch of the key, so the key doesn’t need to be pressed all the way. No lag as far as I can tell and I play COD on it
This keyboard has been with me for over a year, I don’t remember the official day I got it. I love the quiet keys, I was tired of my old mechanical keyboard clicking and clanging. The RGB works well too, without fault. Did I mention this thing went through a fire and got absolutely covered in smoke? The palm rest didn’t survive it, it got burned a bit, but it worked good when I used it. But after the fire, all I needed to do was give it a full clean and it works just fine. It’s perfect, and I would reccomend any discounted price you can get.
I was using a BlackWidow Elite before upgrading to this keyboard, here are is how I think Huntsman V2 Analog is better:
– The switches: They feel high quality and very responsive, you can play with the accentuation for each key using Synapse.
– The caps: They feel strong and durable.
– RGB lighting on the edges and on the wrist-test (if you use it).
– Easy RGB tweaks using Synapse’s Chroma.
– The whole keyboard is well built.
All in all, Huntsman V2 Analog is very decent keyboard if you can stomach the price point.
If I had to nit-pick, the only thing that’s just a little off is that the Caps RGB is not super bright.
I have had a lot of trouble finding a keyboard I like because they all lack in one way or another. My only hang up with Razer keyboards for a long time is you had to have Synapse running all the time to control the lighting. I don’t mind having to use synapse to initially setup the devices but it should allow you to close the application right after. I can say to everyone this keyboard allows control of profiles and the lighting right on the keyboard with the FN combination keys. The switches feel great and are VERY quiet and responsive. The keycaps are extremely high quality and the top plate is metal so the keyboard is solid. It also comes with a very comfortable wrist rest. This keyboard is awesome and hits all the check boxes for me. And I no longer have to run synapse. For those who are curious, using FN + CTRL + (Number 1-4) you can change the color profile of the keyboard without synapse. You can setup several profiles on device memory and have one profile with gaming mode and typing mode with an added debounce delay so you don’t misstype with the linear keys. FN + Menu Key changes profiles with no synapse. Additionally this keyboard has 8000hz polling which is awesome.
This keyboard is a win, I will be buying a second one for work.
The Razer Huntsman is a great keyboard for everyday use or gaming the RGB on it is fantastic and the ergonomics is great as well. the only thing about it I dont like is that the wrist rest isnt magnetic. This is a 5/5 for me. Also, if you dont want analog switches this will work well for you it’s still really fast and great for all games in general. Games like CS2, Cod, and heck even Wow work very well with it.
The appearance is top notch nothing feels cheap and was a great value at the time of purchase (around 110 usd.)
The switches feel great to! I had a 60% huntsman with the linear red switches and didnt like the linear feel to the switch. But these Purple clicky switches feel great. typing with a wrist rest is next level to.
The rgb on the keyboard looks very good as well and It’s going to be awesome when I get around to putting the Razer Phantom keycaps or some other brand of pudding key caps.
If you want a tkl layout keyboard andyou play games like CS, or cod or other fps titles where you become a sweaty nerd this will be a good keyboard for you! The TKL layout is great to if you dont want it to take up too much real estate on your desk.
