I tested out a ton of mice this past few weeks, looking for what fits the look I’m going for and feels the best. I tried out the Logitech G502 X Wireless with RGB, The SuperLight 2, Xtrfy M8, DarmoShark M3, and lastly this mouse, the Razer Death Adder V3 Pro. The G502 X had too many buttons for what I wanted and it was a bit too sci-fi RGB, although it did feel great to hold. The SuperLight 2 was my second favorite, but I felt like it didn’t offer the same level of ergonomic support as the DeathAddar V3. Visually, I want my set up to have a classic retro look, so the Xtrfy M8 was my favorite visually, but my hand was way too big for it and after a day of use I felt cramping in my forearm. The DarmoShark M3 just looks pink in person instead of Beige so I didn’t bother using it. The DeathAddar delivers a clean look, outstanding function and feels great to hold once you get use to the asymmetry. The clicks of the mouse sound deeper than other mouse I’ve used, the scroll wheel is extremely responsive and I find myself actually using the side buttons.
I think for a better budget mouse, Steelseries offers great mice that are very affordable, however if you have the budget you can’t go wrong with this mouse. The only reason I didn’t try the Basilisk was the look. I don’t like the “My mom bought it for me” RGB look with rubber sides. I also wanted a white, beige or grey mouse and I didn’t like the stark contrast between the white shell and the black seems, it looks too noisy.
The only thing I wish was different with this mouse was that the Razer logo wasn’t so ugly. It just looks like 3 pubes intertwined in a triangular shape.
The mouse is fire, but not for everyone. I recently left Logitech G series because of the clicking problems they won’t fix and the cheap hardware they use in them. Tested this mouse next to the v2 Deathadder and v2 viper pro. The material of the body feels extremely cheap compared to it’s predecessor, (but as I understand that’s how it is with all these new trend ultralight mice). If you want something super light, you’ll love it. It’s larger than the v2 viper and has a bit nicer of a middle mouse wheel, the arch of the shape is higher as well, which is better for claw grippers. To me personally the arch is a bit too high compared to my Logitech G903, But the hardware is way higher quality so it’s something I’m willing to get used to. It seems very vanilla as far as features go, but if you primarily play FPS like myself, this won’t be a deal breaker for you.
The sensor and weight is basically what you’re paying a premium price for from what I can tell and to be honest, I can’t really justify the $150 price tag on it for just that. However I did learn that the algorithms for interpolation are so much more advanced and unmatched by any other company (check youtube for more about this) so if this is something you care about maybe give this mouse a shot and return it if it’s nothing special to you.
Overall I’m going to keep the mouse because I feel like it’s pros outweigh any cons and I think it will last me a long time due to the amount of though and ingenuity put into the actual design and hardware of the mouse. It’s pretty solid as far as being future proof based on the tech they have built in there.
Note, I bought this used. It cost less than $80, so I won’t go into the value for the money at all with this review. That said, I got a perfect example for that cost.
This mouse has been on my radar for a while. When I saw I could get it cheap, I had to pick it up. The feel in hand is fantastic for an ergo mouse. I prefer smaller mice, and I fingertip grip with my wrist anchored on my mousepad. With that grip, it makes contact with the pad right under my knuckles, which is where I like my mouse to give support. There’s plenty of support for my ring and pinky finger as well, so they don’t have to be tucked in or dragged on the mousepad. This mouse does feel large in the hand, but surprisingly light for its size. For reference, my main mouse is the Viper Mini Signature Edition. I still prefer the mini, but there’s no denying that this mouse is comfortable.
For palm grip, my fingers go a bit further on the mouse than I’d like, but it’s still OK. Claw grip doesn’t seem to work as well on this mouse for me as it does on ambi mice.
The buttons are all great. I’m used to the Razer optical switches, and they feel well implemented on this mouse. The side buttons also are fantastic, without any wobble, pre, or post travel. The scroll wheel is a bit of a letdown though. It scrolls very easily, but without well defined stops, so you can easily accidentally scroll or over scroll. The scroll click is nice and light, but I find that I accidentally scroll when trying to click it.
Build quality is solid. There no creaking or popping when exerting pressure on the mouse, no flex to speak of either. For what they’re asking I’d expect this, but it’s good that it lives up to it.
If you can get a good deal on this mouse, I’d say go for it. Amazon’s used mice have been a bit of a crap shoot for me. I got one that didn’t have a receiver dongle, one that didn’t have skates, and now this one, which is perfect. I’d say take the risk, you can always return it if you don’t get what you’re expecting!
I bought this mouse for my son since he’s really into PC gaming, and he absolutely loves it. It’s super lightweight, so his hand doesn’t get tired even after long sessions, and the shape fits comfortably.
The wireless connection works perfectly—no lag or disconnects—and the battery lasts a long time between charges. I was a little unsure about spending this much on a mouse, but after seeing how much better it performs compared to cheaper ones, I can say it was worth it.
It doesn’t have all the flashy lights some gaming gear has, but honestly, that’s a plus for me. It looks clean and simple on the desk.
If you’re a parent looking for something durable and reliable for your kid’s gaming setup, this is a solid choice.
This mouse works really well. It’s my first time trying a Razer right-handed ergonomic mouse. At first, it felt a little uncomfortable, but after a couple of days I got used to it and now I feel it fits my hand much better than a symmetrical mouse, especially for gaming. The only downside is the battery life—it drains quickly, and I need to charge it about once a week. I also noticed the newer V4 Pro comes with an 8K receiver, but personally I still prefer the Nano receiver since I don’t like having extra things sitting on my desk.
I only spent about $67 after tax on this mouse, and I think it’s a great deal. Compared to the new V4 Pro priced at around $170, this one may not match in performance, but in terms of price it’s unbeatable.
